    FREAK THE VOTE.

    That’s all I’m gonna say.

Well.. and this.. you wanna watch a real dance competition?  Come to the competitions we have out here in the community.  Come to some shows out in Hollywood.   Go to REAL battles and jams.

ABDC is iggnant.  Ultimately, it’s a TV show where the dancers are merely chess pieces that the producers and directors move around to their liking.  I’d like to one day attend a competition without politics involved.  How much do we really know that votes count?!  TV is deceiving.  They can actually do whatever they want… for the sake of entertainment and they can do a GREAT job at covering it up.  Sneaky, sneaky people.. but they are experts in knowing what grabs attention and they don’t mind hurting feelings of those involved to get their desired result.  I’ve never been on TV… but.. I’ve experienced enough from Reality TV in the past to know what’s up.

Not saying that the crews on the show aren’t talented.  They’re madd dope.  I guess I’ve opened this topic not just talking about ABDC, but all reality TV shows in genereal.  It’s just…
when it comes to talent, if you want classy, go to a theater.  Nothing on reality TV goes without a little distortion.

As Shakespeare said,  “All the world  is a stage.. and the men and women are merely players.”  Think about TV.  Who controls what we see?  Who has the power to cut and edit the final product?  And we underestimate exactly how MUCH power these producers do have.  Hmm.  The ‘actors’ can act their parts… but think of how much power lies in the people who mold what we see into the final product.

I’ve known this truth about reality shows for a while.  I’m not bitter.  Twisting truths and causing drama is definitely gonna evoke interest and draw attention.  I have many friends who are entertainers and who’ve gotten their souls sucked away through the pull of the limelight.  That’s what happens on TV… but if you know and understand that, and are okay with the consequences and ready to face them, it’s up to you.

I don’t vote and I have never voted cuz I don’t believe in it
but.. I hope Quest and Beat Freaks go all the way to the top.

    hOlla!

    Legacy gettin ready for Vibe
My badd– Mike Song “Season ONE”

    Legacy @ Vibe playaz!

You’ll be able to find more angles on YouTube.. this is just one of em.. pretty shaky, but pretty close to the stage.

Aside from my knee cap popping outta place during the performance, this was pretty tite! =P  Haha I looked like a fool.

Being able to dance w/ fam definitely makes performances more meaningful than if I was performing with random people I didn’t know.  I miss all the rehearsals already.. I miss the anticipation of Vibe… I miss stressin out trying to get ready for Vibe.  This was a great performance to bring many of us together–some of us who’ve never danced with each other before too.  I hope this is really just the beginning for Legacy.. for all of us cuz we’re meant for something bigger.. together.. somehow =)

Holla to my Kallusive peeps too.  I am honored to be a member of this crew–to be dancing with some of these guys is truly a blessing for me cuz they’re super sick at what they do.  I am going to soak up all that I can while I have this opportunity to!  Diversity is essential.

I have a feeling that this is just the beginning.. well….
I kinda always have this feeling… that we aint done yet….
and doesn’t it feel good knowing you’ve succeeded in winning one prize
while there are still so many more prizes waiting to be claimed?

Revisiting an old blog post…  revisiting.. my faith.

“The power of gravity is freakin amazing. It’s natural for all earthly matter to be pulled downward even against their will, no matter how much strength they posses. All things are forced to the ground. My biggest fears include falling… drowning… being pulled quickly or even slowly against my will, with nothing to grasp to save me and keep me from the end that I know is coming.

I don’t know how correct this may be, but when I say gravity pulls all material things down, I’m also thinking about our own spirit. Well… lemme change that. It’s not gravity.. it’s not a force of nature that pulls us.. our souls aren’t event matter. It’s US… it’s in OUR natural and internal state as humans to look down.. or.. be negative. It’s always easy to complain. It’s always easy to get angry. It’s easy to be sad. It’s easy to be lazy, sit around, do nothing, and be unproductive. It’s easy to get jealous, and be bitter. It’s easy to be selfish or rude. It’s easy to act impulsively when we think bad thoughts. On the other hand, it takes work to fix complaints. It’s a fight against ourselves to control our anger. It takes work to control jealousy, bitterness, and to be wise and cautious in our dealings. In our pursuit of happiness, strength HAS to kick in or else we’re doomed in allowing that natural negative tendency to take over.

We are naturally drawn to others who give us hope. People feel good around any symbols of positivity, happiness, encouragement, and support. Why?.. because there is an overwhelming amount of negativity in the world and in ourselves. I find that those who maintain positive thoughts and those who keep their focus upward regardless of daily crappy situations (cuz we all have them) posses great strength—that’s REAL strength and REAL control… A good attitude despite horrible circumstances that are ALWAYS and inevitable.

Though it’s a fight and it takes hellamadd work to stay upp, I do try to focus my energy upward trying to meet the crazy expectations of my life: working full time, other duck, boogiezone, dancing every night, surviving daily on just a few hours of sleep, trying to spend time with friends and fam, keeping up with the OTHER things I enjoy doing like reading, writing, me-time or even quiet time with God. Though I may not have enough alone time with Him, He’s present 24.7 in my life. How would I manage all these activities without the support and encouragement I receive through His love and without believing that He always blesses his children? There exists a force greater than gravity to pull me upwards. If my spirit is falling… or drowning and suffocating in negativity, I know of a loving power to carry me and fill me with breaths of fresh air. I know of a great being who gives me vitality, inspiration, and drive the closer I get to Him.

I guess I just wanna say thank you to my Father… for promising me a most fulfilling spirit even through the craziness and the pressures that could easily break me down.”

Recently, I’ve felt distracted from God… it happens to us all right?  I remember writing this and remembering how much inspiration God filled me with.  I need that back.

    pray.  read.  be good.
